Terrible twos? UPDATES!

Coy is growing up! He is now 19 months, I'm not 100 percent sure where the time has gone, but we are makin the most of it! He has become quite the little character!

He always tries to make people laugh, especially if they are already laughing about something that he did, he will do it over and over.
He loves to sing, He tries to sing his ABCs, the itsy bitsy spider, and the lullaby I sing to him at night, If hes not talking to somone, hes talking to himself, and he repeats everything we say... which is awesome..

He will tell him self  "NO, Don't" after he does something he knows he's not suppose to do, but then he will come and spank me...haha but it makes it easy for me, because he starts crying after he tells himself  no.

His newest found interest is string cheese.... He thinks its so funny to rip it apart in tiny pieces and put it all in a pile. Whether it be on the floor, the couch, or the bed. I always tell Colby, well at least its easy clean up, its not scattered.

He loves bath book and bed time! When I say, "lets get ready for a bath" he runs to the bathroom yelling "badt badt" he can spend hours in the water no kiddin! After his bath he runs to his room after beeing dried off and climbs in his bed and yells "mama book book" after we read like 6 or 7 books he says "sing sing" so I sing him our favorite lullaby a million times. Then he rolls over and crashes out. He's finally sleeping all night!

He never wants anyone to do anything for him anymore! He will even try to take his diaper on and off, yea... potty training still is nowhere insight for us. But, he does love his potty we bought him.. He takes off all his clothes and will sit on it watching tv.
Speaking of tv. He loves all the Disney Jr. Shows, and some of the Nick Jr. Shows... but we only let him watch tv for maybe an hour a day... plus hes too busy to actually sit and watch it... so whats the point!? haha
He has his own cd player in his room and loves his Children song cds.

Whenever he needs help he says "ep me pease?", we counted all the words he can say without repeating the things we say... there like 290 words! Awesome!

Hes just growing up sooo fast! I can't believe in Aug. Hell be 2 years old!

He always has to have his own fork, even when eating off mine or dads plates

Always has to be the one steering the car, tractor, or whatever hes riding in!

We've started working on our front yard fence, so when we were diggin post holes, He thought he needed to be right in on the action!

Usually we can only get him to eat if he has his own spoon or fork, so.... we just dish up whatever he is wanting, and let him have his way!

This is what happens when grandparents spoil him.. A HUGE icecream cone!

He's also very independant when it comes to moms make up... awesome.

Oh... and those trantrums!... He just throws himself on to my lap or the floor, and cries and screams... and then looks up at me, Points his finger and says..."nooo.... dont".. hes cool!

Startin Our summer off Right!

Man oh man! It's only April, and we have already had a blast! The warm weather has been great, so we had to get outside and do what we do best! First, Last weekend we branded calves and had a great time! I forgot my camera, but luckily Chery ( my Aunt in Law) asked if  I would take pictures! So Snapping away I went. She emailed me a few....
Colby looks good huh! Jealous?? I bet ya'r!
He was all ready to go!! Even with his mighty belt buckle!

We had such a small area at Brad and Cherys farm branding their calves before we headed over to ours, so we let Coy play with his tractors and stuff on the back. Then he started handing us ear tags and saying "Daint do" (thank you).

He spotted Uncle Justins glasses and kept putting them up to his eyes saying... "I eee you!"

Some of the gang helping out!

After a long nap, He decided it was time to ride his horse, Roany. He kept saying "Roey, here" as he clicked his tongue. So papa went and put him on his horse. He rode for nearly 45 minutes, until we were done branding.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Swimming!

Every month Cassie, Brittany, and I plan a girls day and we take the boys swimming, or to go do something fun, and we have a girls day while we are at it! This time we took the boys to the pool and they had a blast!! First we went to get something to eat at the Brick Oven, awesome pizza I'll tell ya!

The waiters were awesome and gave both Coy and Noah balloons to take home! They were so excited, they took them to walmart with us!
After walmart we took off to the pool!

Coy and Noah splashing together!

My goofball!

We tried to get them to take a picture.....^ see how well it went?

Theres something about wheels that Coy loves, He always has to turn them. But he could barely reach!

Our Trip to....

Colby and I noticed a cow that had been trying to have her calf a couple days ago. Today we went to check on her and she was still in the same spot. With no calf. So, we called Clayton Barton and Jace Kings office to see if we could bring the cow down to see what was going on. Well, they told us we wouldn't be able to see them until 6pm or so. So, Colby rounded up a couple cows including her and drove them to the corrals, where He loaded her  into the trailer to haul her down. Well.. When we got there it was 5pm. We had to wait an hour for them to get there..  but we made the most of it!
We started out by giving Coy a ride on these awesome tire horses that were hooked to the horse walker. Around and around he went and everytime we would stop him he'd say MORE!

After we finally got him off the ride we moved to the animals!
This pig was awesome! Coy kept calling him Cow, but this "cow" just about ate his fingers off!

This llama was crazy! It kept spitting at us and making funny noises...

Awww.. the love of my life :)

These bunnies were so cute, they even had like 7 little babies!

funny Goat!

my little man :)
Coy got tired of all the animals until.....
This chicken appeared and Coy chased it everywhere yelling "Bawk Bawk!"

Finally... back to the playground

He tried so hard to climb up the ramp.. and everytime he would slide down he yelled and he would get a little more determination in his face and finally... dad came to the rescue!

We tried to have rubber duck races, but Coy kept taking the ducks.. and everytime they would hit the end of  the pipe... Coy would yell OH NO CRASH!!

Well, in the days end, we all had a great time! We chased Coy all around the farm! Im pretty sure we wore him out! The best part was.. We had the WHOLE farm to ourselves!!

The end!

Oh, and as for the cow... turns out she had already had her calf  but just a little to early and prolapsed. So, turns out it was just the afterbirth she couldnt deliver causing her to get sick. But... It was all worth the trip, our little one had the time of his life!!

Motherhood

You know, realizing that you have become a mom can come to you at any moment, When those stretch marks wont go away because of weight gained by pregnancy, or when you hold your new born for the first time. Well mine hit me a little later than realizing either of these.
Last Tuesday I was in the kitchen when I could hear Coy in his room jabbering. So I walked a little closer to his room and I listened to him say. "1 2 3 ma love me." and then he looked up and smiled at me and said. "love you"  and then he fallowed with the "dont, no. kiyla!"  So I gave him a cheesy smirk and said, " I love you bug." and walked back to the kitchen to finish dishes. Colby came inside and said," honey we need to fix my truck. I need such and such amount of money".. uh.. Really??? Didnt we just spend x amount of money on it last month how can we afford it again? Then, I get a call about a past due bill, as Coy comes running in saying... eat eat, as hes pounding on the fridge door. It was like a circus in my house all at once! Soon realizing that this is life, I just smiled, and told the person on the phone I would put the check in the mail, told Colby to buy what he needed and got coy a hot dog out of the fridge. Later that day, I was alone because Colby took Coy to go feed cows and I just felt like I needed to give my Heavenly Father a thanks. So I went in my room, knelt next to the bed and said a little prayer of thanks. Thanks for my family even though we get crazy at times. Thanks for the love that we share, and the home we have, and everything else in between. jobs..etc etc.
By the time the boys got back from doing chores it was about 6:30 so I decided I should probably get dinner going. As I was making dinner I was listening to Colby read  a Colors Book to Coy and Coy was repeating just about all the color words, ( though im sure he has no clue what they are) then he looks at me and says "love you".. It melted my heart. "I love you bug" and he squirmed out of dads arms, came running to me and said... " Here I come!" so I pretended to scream and ran to the living room and fell to the floor where Coy tackled me and said "got you!"... and I just said.. "yes you did!"

I never really realized what I have had all along... but becoming a mother has been the best gift I could have ever gotten. Noone understands love until a part of you is there in front of you, with muddy fingers, or a jelly face, or even a just a happy little smile. This little boy has been the highlight of my life, through tears of sorrow, happiness and frustration. Every time he looks at me and says.. love you  and smiles that little grin he has.. It just makes me fall to my knees and thank my Heavenly Father for the most wonderful gift!
